Springtree Projectors!

What are the differences between the ST-VL606U and the MU9?

Both are incredible projectors, but the MU9 offers several key upgrades over the ST-VL606U. It features interchangeable lenses instead of a single fixed lens, delivers 8,000 lumens compared with 6,500 lumens, includes built-in HDBaseT, and supports 3D content, while the ST-VL606U does not. The MU9 also features a black housing, while the ST-VL606U comes in white. Both models use laser light sources, but the ST-VL606U is an LCD projector, while the MU9 uses DLP technology.

What warranties do the MU9 and ST-VL606U come with?

Both projectors are covered by our 3-year Replace-with-New Warranty.

What is your projector return policy?

Returns are accepted within 10 days of receipt and are subject to a 30% restocking fee. Customers are responsible for return shipping. No returns will be accepted after 10 days from the date of receipt.

Can I demo the MU9 or ST-VL606U?

We do not currently offer a projector demo program.

Does the MU9 support 3D?

Yes. The MU9 supports 3D content, while the ST-VL606U does not.

Does the MU9 have built-in HDBaseT?

Yes. The MU9 has built-in HDBaseT.

What is HDBaseT?

Built-in HDBaseT allows you to send high-quality video, audio, control signals, and sometimes Ethernet over a single Cat cable for much longer distances than standard HDMI. This makes installation cleaner, easier, and more reliable—especially in churches, schools, theaters, and conference rooms.

It also eliminates the need for a separate HDBaseT receiver at the projector, reducing extra hardware and simplifying your setup.

Why did you discontinue the ST-C801P?

We originally launched the MU9 as a long-throw projector, but after strong customer demand, we added standard- and short-throw lens options. With the MU9 now covering a wider range of applications, we chose to discontinue the ST-C801P and focus our support on the MU9 platform.

What are the advantages of laser projectors?

  • Longer lifespan: Laser projectors typically last much longer than traditional lamp-based projectors.

  • Lower maintenance: With no lamps to replace and fewer moving parts, laser projectors require less maintenance and help reduce downtime and operating costs.

  • Better color performance: Laser projectors can deliver vibrant, accurate colors for a more vivid image.

  • Instant on/off: Laser projectors power on and off almost instantly, with no lengthy warm-up or cool-down period.
