Why a Fresnel
The key feature of a fresnel is a fresnel lens. The lens allows for easy adjustment of the light’s beam angle. This makes it possible to focus the light tightly or spread it out more diffusely, providing flexibility in shaping the illumination to suit your specific need.
Fresnel are often used for general stage illumination when you need a wash of light over a broad area. The soft, even light they produce is useful for creating a smooth and uniform background illumination. Their adjustable focus allows you to change the size and shape of the beam, making it easy to direct attention to a particular area. In three-point lighting, fresnels can be used for all three elements: the key, fill, and back light. Click here to learn more about three-point lighting.

Bought 10 of them. Only needed 6. An amazing fixture. Even all the way out at 50 degrees it still has great brightness and you can dial in the color temp to match your other fixtures or start out with a warm stage preservice and raise the color temp for opening. So many options. A great addition to the lineup.
