Easy to Use DMX!
The SM-8 Switch is the easiest way to control your DMX lights! It requires no installation, you simply add it in the DMX loop between your console and your fixtures. It gives you 8 easy to program scenes with built-in fade times at your fingertips! Great for volunteer heavy churches, schools, and theaters. Instead of having to go to the console to make a change, just save your most common looks, and use the SM-8 Switch!
Expandable DMX STATIONS!
You can add additional control points around your venue via optional Satellite Wall Stations. They are wall mounted, and work like a light switch, giving you easy access to your 8 programmed scenes. The SM-8 Switch connects to satellite stations via affordable Cat5 cable. Up to 5 satellite stations can be used per SM-8 Switch. We also offer the SS-8RC, a remote control satellite station with a 50-foot range.
Switchable!
The SM-8 Switch features a built-in switch for transferring control from this unit back to your lighting console, and vice versa. When control is switched back to the controller, the SM-8 Switch and optional Wall Stations become inoperable. The SM-8 Switch needs a controller to be programmed, but once programmed, can operate independently.

DESKTOP DMX CONTROL STATION
This device is fantastic…a great way to set up house or wall control of house lighting. The beauty of this device is that you immediately have a master controller pre wired in a nifty little box already to insert between your existing console and your DMX wiring. I have an auditorium with house and stage lighting all controlled via DMX…I put this box up in the control booth and instantly had 8 presets at my fingertips. I then installed a slave Wall Station simply by cutting a hole in the wall and running cat5 from my booth to the first slave, which I put at the back of the house for entry lighting. I installed another slave back stage and I will also leave a coil of cat5 from that box and make up a roaming remote out of another slave unit to use for light setup or lighting that I want to control from a non fixed stage point. Supper handy…just set up a set of lighting scenes from the booth memorize them with the master and ready to go for 8 presets. Works great for letting inexperienced people have control for some lighting such as guest performers, special talks, etc. the uses are endless.

I got it with a Satellite Station and I couldn’t have asked for an easier setup! We have a setup that uses LightKey and an Enttec USB to DMX interface and this worked flawlessly!
*HUGE NOTE THOUGH*
Make sure you know whether or not you have 5 pin or 3 pin DMX to whatever console you have….if you have 5 pin – KNOW HOW IT IS WIRED. Our Enttec DMX interface is a 5 pin DMX in/out. This device is a 3pin DMX, I was very luck to know that our DMX goes Data, Data, Ground, but if yours is wired differently this may not be as forgiving. I was very fortunate that our RJ45 to DMX converters were wired Data, Data, Ground. TLDR – know your setup before purchase and plan accordingly.
