CREATIVELY LIGHTING A CHURCH

THE PROBLEM- OLD OUTDATED HOUSE LIGHTS

A church’s sanctuary was illuminated by old pendant lighting that was both unattractive and limited in its functioning. Having no built-in switch, the church’s staff relied on breakers to turn them on and off.

The church desired to update their lighting to something that was both more aesthetically pleasing and easier to operate. The only problem was their limited budget and the fact their ceiling was also the roof, which made for a difficult install.

THE SOLUTION- SOME CREATIVITY AND VERSATILE FIXTURES

With ten house lights to replace, we took our Warm White Spatial Washes and removed their outer housing. We then inserted them into 8-inch PVC pipe that we painted black. Each Spatial has both a PowerCon in and out for power linking, which made it easy to use our Wireless DMX System by creating a PowerCon Male to Edison female pigtail.

Wireless System

Our Wireless System is incredibly reliable for up to 150-feet, eliminating the need to run DMX cables and giving the church complete, dimmable control over their house lights for the first time!

STAGE LIGHTING

We also provided 8 Spatial RGB9s to add color to their stage, and two LED Ellipsoidal fixtures for helping direct focus during sermons.

Thus we were able to simply, and affordably meet the church’s needs.
